5. MEĐUNARODNA IZLOŽBA EX-LIBRISA
5. međunarodnu izložbu ex-librisa pod nazivom KORTILI / DVORIŠTA organizira Galerija Kortil povodom 25 godina njenog djelovanja.

SUDJELOVANJE
Na 5. međunarodnoj izložbi ex librisa imaju pravo sudjelovati umjetnici iz cijelog svijeta. Umjetnici mogu poslati do dva ex-librisa na temu, otisnutih na papir 15 x 21 cm (A5). Ex-libris može biti izveden u svim poznatim grafičkim tehnikama. Od svake grafičke ploče, dva potpisana otisnuta ex-librisa s ispunjenom prijavnicom i svim podacima na poleđini lista molimo poslati na adresu: GALERIJA KORTIL, Strossmayerova 1, HR – 51000 Rijeka, Hrvatska zaključno do 1. rujna 2022.
Od svih pristiglih radova stručni žiri odabrat će radove za izložbu. Organizator izložbe objavit će e-katalog kako bi bio pristupačan svima online. Svi prispjeli radovi ostaju u trajnom vlasništvu Galerije i bit će dio zbirke ex-librisa.
ŽIRI I NAGRADE
Stručni žiri dodijelit će jednu novčanu nagradu za ex-libris i predložiti više otkupnih nagrada. Organizator zadržava pravo reproduciranja nagrađenog ex-librisa u promotivne svrhe (plakat, pozivnica, katalog).

Dvorište! Dvorište? Dvorište… mjesto susreta, mjesto druženja, mjesto igre, mjesto opuštanja u slobodnim trenucima… U memoriji svakoga od nas upisano kroz meridijane osobnih iskustava, umrežene s različitim značenjima, navikama i uspomenama.
Dvorišta ili kortili (dvorište okruženo zgradama) – dio su graditeljskog nasljeđa od prvih početaka izgradnje stambenih naselja. Ljudi su ih koristili u više namjena, počevši od kuhanja u njima (Ur, Mezopotamija 2000 g.pr.Kr.), spavanja (narodi Bliskog istoka), potom kao vrtove ili mjesta za boravak životinja itd. I danas su prisutni u svim podnebljima i kulturama, kao primjeri raznolikosti u namjenama, graditeljskim karakteristikama, urbanim/ruralnim kontekstima, mjestima uspomena iz djetinjstva… Brojne generacije pamte dvorišta/kortile kao mjesta okupljanja raznih generacija, a nadasve za igru najmlađih. Mnoge su se igre, uglavnom grupne, igrale u dvorištima i tako poticale druženje, razvijale fizičku spretnost, taktičke sposobnosti, socijalne vještine…
Naša galerija koja nosi ime Kortil (courtyard, eng; cortile, it; cortil, esp; kortil, cro), po toponimu – starom i već zaboravljenom nazivu ovog dijela grada, obilježava ove godine 25 godina svog djelovanja. Galerija izlaže vizualnu umjetnost 20. i 21. stoljeća kroz samostalne, grupne ili tematski osmišljene izložbene programe, pri čemu se ne ograničava na određene stilove i estetike. Izložbeni program otvoren je za suvremene domaće i strane umjetnike, primijenjenu umjetnost, za izlaganje autorskih osobnosti koje su obilježile umjetnost 20. stoljeća, no istovremeno i za mlade autore koji tek stupaju na likovnu scenu.
Galeriji Kortil također je važan rad sa zajednicom pa kroz program Kortil uživo kontinuirano provodimo niz aktivnosti u susjedstvu. Namjera je u radu, s uglavnom mladom publikom, promovirati kulturnu i povijesnu baštinu našeg podneblja. Stoga galerija Kortil svoju misiju vidi kao galerija koja osjeća i prepoznaje suvremenu umjetnost kao sredstvo dinamične i otvorene komunikacije između umjetničkog rada, umjetnika, riječke publike i suvremenog okruženja, a razvija se kao forum koji gradi i produbljuje te odnose.
Pozivamo vas da se uključite u program obilježavanja našeg 25. rođendana i sudjelujete u pozivu za izradu ex-librisa.
Na prijedlog prof. Josipa Butkovića u Rijeci je osnovana Međunarodna izložba Ex-libris. U suradnji sa Sveučilišnom knjižnicom iz Rijeke prva izložba sa temom 500 godina od rođenja Julija Klovića održana je prije 25 godina u Galeriji Kortil. Potom su održane u istoj organizaciji i 2. Međunarodna izložba ex-librisa 50 godina Vijeća Evrope 1999., 3. Međunarodna izložba Stara pisma 2001. i 4. Međunarodna izložba Čovjek i riba 2003. Sve izložbe su organizirane u Galeriji Kortil. Na ovoj, petoj po redu, tema su dvorišta ili KORTILI.
Cilj nam je potaknuti svijest o ovoj temi kao dijelu globalne kulturne baštine, sagledati raznolikosti i sličnosti u različitim podnebljima i načinima života zajednice, uočiti promjene koje dolaze s promjenama u načinu života i mladim generacijama te potaknuti sjećanja na izgubljene navike.
THE FIFTH INTERNATIONAL EX-LIBRIS EXHIBITION
On its 25th anniversary, the Kortil Gallery has organized the Fifth International EX LIBRIS Exhibition named KORTILI / COURTYARDS.
Each ex-libris is to bear the following wording: Ex-libris, Kortil Gallery 25.
PARTICIPATION
Artists from all over the world have the right to participate in the Fifth International Ex-libris Exhibition. The artists may send up to two ex-librises on the given topic, printed on the paper size 15 x 21 cm (A5). Ex-libris may be designed in any of the known graphic techniques. Out of each graphic plate, two signed printed ex-librises, with the filled-in application form and all the details written on the reverse side, should be sent to the following address:

Till the 1st September 2022 at the latest.
An experts’ jury will select the works for the exhibition.
The exhibition organizer will publish an e-catalogue to be accessible online to the public. All the works will remain in permanent possession of the Gallery and will make a part of the ex-librises collection.
JURY AND AWARDS
The experts’ jury will award a cash prize for the ex-libris and propose several redemption awards. The Organizer also retains the right of reproduction of awarded ex-libris for the promotional purposes (poster, invitation and catalogue).

Courtyard! Courtyard? The courtyard … a place to meet, a place to socialize, a place to play, a place to relax in your free time … In the memory of each of us inscribed through the meridians of personal experiences, networked with different meanings, habits and memories.
Yard or courtyard (yard surrounded by buildings) – as part of the architectural heritage from the first beginnings of housing construction. People used them for many purposes, starting with cooking in them (Ur, Mesopotamia 2000 BC), sleeping (peoples of the Middle East), then as gardens or places for animals, etc. Yards and courtyards are still present today in all climates and cultures, as examples of diversity in purposes, architectural characteristics, urban / rural contexts, places of childhood memories… Numerous generations remember courtyards as places where various generations gather and the youngest play. Many games, mostly group games, were played in the yards and thus encouraged socializing, developing of physical dexterity, tactical abilities and social skills.
This year the Kortil Gallery (kortil = courtyard, Eng.; cortile, It.; cortil, Esp.; kortil, Cro.), named after the toponym, an old and almost already forgotten name of this part of the city, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its activity. The Gallery exhibits visual art of the 20th and 21st centuries through individual, group or thematically designed exhibition programmes, not limited to certain styles and aesthetics. The exhibition programme is open to contemporary domestic and foreign artists, applied art, to exhibit authorial personalities who marked the art of the 20th century, as well as for young authors who are just entering the art scene.
Working with the community is also important to the Kortil Gallery, so through the Kortil live programme we continuously organize a number of activities in the neighbourhood. Our intention is to work with mostly young audiences, in order to promote the cultural and historical heritage of our city. Therefore, the Kortil Gallery sees its mission as a gallery that feels and recognizes contemporary art as a means of dynamic and open communication among the artwork, artists, Rijeka audiences and the contemporary environment, and is developing as a forum that builds and deepens these relationships.
We invite you to join the programme to mark our 25th birthday and participate in the call for ex-libris.
At the suggestion of prof. Josip Butković, the International Exhibition Ex-libris was founded in Rijeka. In cooperation with the University Library of Rijeka, the first exhibition on the theme of 500 years since the birth of Julij Klović was held 25 years ago at the Kortil Gallery. Then the 2nd International Exhibition of Ex-Libris 50 Years of the Council of Europe 1999, the 3rd International Exhibition of Old Letters 2001 and the 4th International Exhibition Man and Fish 2003 were held in the same organization. All exhibitions were organized in the Kortil Gallery. This one, the fifth in the row, will be organized under the theme: courtyards or KORTILI.
Our goal is to raise this topic’s awareness as part of the global cultural heritage, to focus on diversities and similarities in different climates and community lifestyles, to notice changes that come with lifestyle changes and younger generations and to encourage memories of lost habits.
