An international selection of five cinematographic productions invites the audience to delve into the profound interplay between the body, its surroundings, and its capacity to navigate, transform, and transcend limitations. Each film examines the body as a site of resilience, memory, and connection, defying the norm and pushing against physical, environmental, and existential boundaries.
From the freeing touch of water and earth to the struggle between survival and extinction, the beauty of aging, surreal myths of the body, and reflections on collective movement, these films invite you on a journey through nature, time, and the human spirit, celebrating different corporalities and stretching the boundaries of dance.

NOORA
8 min, 2024, FI
Redateljica: Anna Kekkonen
SOMBER TIDES
12 min, 2024, CA
Redatelj, koreograf: Chantal Caron
Igra Jan Minařík, solist Kazališta Pina Bausch i najveći češki plesač 20. stoljeća.
SOMA
11 min, 2023., UK
Redatelj: Arturo Bandinelli
Koreograf: Kwam Collective
Suvremeni mit o nastanku ljudskog tijela, SOMA se odvija u dvije paralelne dimenzije: beskonačna crna rupa u kojoj entiteti postoje izvan linearnog prostora i vremena; i kuća u labirintu u kojoj se odvija neobično okupljanje. Kako se slobodno-asocijativna, sanjalačka pripovijest odvija, različiti likovi prolaze kroz intuitivna iskustva zadovoljstva, čarolije, boli i smrti.
FIBONACCI
8 min, 2020, CZ
Redatelj: Tomáš Hubáček
Koreograf: Marie Gourdain
Ljudsko stado klizi kroz valovita polja. Put mu presječe neprosvijećeni lovac. Plesni film o okolišu ili audiovizualna meditacija o Fibonaccijevim obrascima u krajoliku, ponašanju stada, strukturi filma i glazbi.
NOORA
8 min, 2024, FI
Director: Anna Kekkonen
Performer: Noora Västinen
Noora has congenital bone fragility, Osteogenesis Imperfecta. She uses a wheelchair as a dancing aid and in it, she can move widely, but feels isolated from the surrounding environment. She is searching ways to move, focusing on possibilities rather than on limitations. On the ground, she feels the ground against her skin. In the water she can let go of her wheelchair. Noora’s toes sink into the mud bottom, which pulsates with her steps. The water supports her fragile body with its pressure and surrounded by it she dares to move more freely, her body is more elastic, her expressions and range of motion are greater.
SOMBER TIDES
12 min, 2024, CA
Director, choreographer: Chantal Caron
Somber Tides is a cry from the species, startled into survival against the elements. One last breath before being trampled by the Earth or maybe conversely a battle to wage against winds and tides clutching on before extinction.
SHELLS
9 min, 2022, CZ
Director: Marie Magdalena Kochová
Choreographer: Jarek Lambor
The elevator of the nursing home turns into a stage as the old dancer explores the limits of his body, memory and the passage of time. Trapped between four walls, he must face the helplessness of his own languishing shell. Starring Jan Minařík, soloist of the Pina Bausch Theatre and the greatest Czech dancer of the 20th century.
SOMA
11 min, 2023, UK
Director: Arturo Bandinelli
Choreographer: Kwam Collective
A contemporary myth on the genesis of the human body, SOMA unfolds in two parallel dimensions: an infinite black hole where entities exist outside linear space and time; and a labyrinthine house where an uncanny gathering is taking place. As the free-associative, dreamlike narrative unfolds, different characters go through visceral experiences of pleasure, enchantment, pain and death.
FIBONACCI
8 min, 2020, CZ
Director: Tomáš Hubáček
Choreographer: Marie Gourdain
Human flock flows through wavy fields. An unenlightened hunter crosses its path. Environmental dance film or audiovisual meditation on Fibonacci patterns in the landscape, herd behavior, film structure and music.
